The cobas® 8000 modular analyzer series from Roche Diganostics Corp, Indianapolis, is a third-generation integrated modular platform. Sysmex WAM Select is the second product of the Sysmex WAM middleware portfolio. The system includes a hematology-specific rules library with true auto-validation capability and it is packaged to enable fast installation with minimal disruption to laboratory operations. Data is stored online for up to 90 days (depending on the lab’s LIS criteria) for easy access and delta checking. This streamlined approach saves testing time and may also save on LIS interface charges. It then interfaces through a single ASTM interface to the LIS.
